I don't know why I tried to make a 3D game, but I think the visuals turned out pretty good. The shaders and post processing were all done by me (in unity) using shader graph, some hlsl, and standard unity post processing. The basic outline and cel shader were kinda from one of my other projects, but I had a lot of "fun" setting up render passes and custom stenciling for the more complex features. Overall I think I spent way too much time fiddling with polish (SFX, particles, shaders) for a game jam, and ended up with barely any game (The whole game sequence was made on the last day). Nevertheless, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out, especially compared to some of my other projects. Even if it's just a glorified tech demo, I'd say it's pretty well polished and satisfying, and any bugs are just speedrun tech I guess. Speaking of which, good luck even beating this game, because I can barely do it while knowing exactly what to do and how to do it (I made it). Anyways, just in case someone's still reading, the audio seems a bit off on my laptop speakers, but fine on my headphones; I don't know whether the speakers or the headphones are the exception, and the full SFX (there should be clicks n stuff) really do make a difference, but then again I don't really care enough to look into it. Looking forward to GMTK 2027!
